Larry and Pam Smith, award-winning artists have taught over 2,000 students oil painting. Larry’s specialty is impressionist landscapes and Pam is known for her oil portraits of people and pets. They bring strong teaching dynamics to the classroom, and foster an encouraging learning environment. Having two teachers at the same time has proven to be an excellent way for students to learn how to improve their painting skills while receiving one-on-one instruction. Together they make learning to paint fun. In this workshop you will learn how to: use a variety of grid methods, master the color wheel and use it to improve your paintings, understand using complimentary colors like the Impressionists, use basic linear and atmospheric perspective, paint using a palette knife and paint portraits & landscapes. Their oil-painting classes are perfect for the beginner to the experienced artist.
