Join Master artist Doug Dawson for an in-depth study of pastel painting. Topics covered in the workshop include: black and white and color thumbnail sketches, three types of designs that characterize compelling paintings, the principles used to create the illusion of depth, the principle of the common color, the underlying concept of color harmony how to solve color problems and different approaches to under-painting. At the end of each day there is a critique of work done. Students are invited to bring in additional work for the critique if they wish.
